In general, licences and ratings core data is maintained by Flightnet. However, you may add custom licences and ratings that are used within your organization only.

Important: Please do not add licenses and ratings from regulations here. Rather report missing items to Flightnet in order to help us to maintain a consistent database.

How to add a custom licence or rating

1.	Navigate to [User] [Custom licences & ratings]

2.	Click on [Add new record]

3.	Enter the data

4.	Click on [Save]

The entries displayed here are visible within your organization only. You can use them as a selection criteria data export (see Data export of selected users).

Important: please note that checking the "Student", "Pilot", "Commercial pilot", "Flight instructor" means that a holder of this license has this role, NOT that his license is applicable for this role!

For example, if you add a license X and check "Flight instructor" then this means that holding this license makes the holder a flight instructor. In Flightnet, this means that the user as extended permissions.

Aircraft category

Aircraft category that this licence or rating is used for. The licence is visible only if the related aircraft category is active in the Company settings

•	Common: commonly used rating such as RTI that apply to various aircraft categories

•	Airplane: airplane related licences and ratings

•	Helicopter: helicopter related licences and ratings

•	Other: n/a at the moment

Licence type

Type of the licence or rating (default: ---)

Has expiration date

Check if this licence or rating can expire. If checked, you'll be able to enter an expiry per user.

Student

Check if this licence denotes a student

Pilot

Check if this licence denotes a pilot

Commercial pilot

Check if this licence denotes a commercial pilot

Flight Instructor

Check if this licence denotes an instructor

Sort code

Sort code for this entry. It is recommended that you use a number greater than 1000.

Custom licences & ratings and expiration reminder emails

Medical and language proficiency types can trigger a expiry reminder email (see Reminder). For all other custom licence types, there are no reminder emails.

How to add delete a custom licence or rating

1.	Navigate to [User] [Custom licences & ratings]

2.	Click on on the corresponding row

3.	Confirm the deletion

Caution: this deletes the licence or rating and all user licence entries related to it. This step cannot be undone.

Do not use this for membership management since there already is a specific membership expiration field.
