User > User resource groups

User resource groups are the starting point to display the schedule of a user (e.g. flight instructors and other staff) in the timeline view. Any user that is assigned to a user resource will be displayed in the timeline view. See staff management also.

Please note that the users resource groups often are named similar to roles like instructor, commercial pilot etc. However, regardless of the designation, the user resource groups have no particular functional effect on users (e.g. adding a user to a custom "Instructors" resource group doesn't make him visible in the instructor drop down. This is rather controlled by the user "List as instructor" setting).

Please note that you need to do two things to make a user's schedule visible in the timeline:

1.	Make sure that there is a corresponding resource group or add such

2.	Assign the individual user to this resource group

In his personal settings, s user can uncheck the display of particular users in the timeline, so those resource group users may not be visible to a particular user.
