If there is a restriction based on an expiration date (e.g. require proficiency check) and the expiration date field is left empty, then the rule will always considered to be met resp. such a rule is checked only if there is an expiration date.

Type rating

•	Pilots only can view for which they have a type rating.

•	Type rating records of have to be kept current

1.	check the "Has rating" checkbox as appropriate for all pilots and their respective ratings

2.	check the "Type rating required" checkbox is active for all required aircraft types and disabled for all others

3.	enable the "Check type rating" setting

Check flight

•	Pilots can reserve aircraft for flights before or on the check flight expiration date only

•	Check flight expiration dates have to be kept current

2.	enable the "Check check flight" setting

Charter agreement

•	Pilots can only reserve aircraft if their personal charter agreement setting is checked

•	Charter agreement records have to be kept current

Valid medical

•	Pilots can reserve aircraft for flights before or on the medical expiration date only

•	Medical expiration dates have to be kept current

1.	enter the check flight expiration dates for all pilots and ratings (see note above regarding empty date fields)

2.	ensure the "Check licence / medical requirements" checkbox is active for all required aircraft types and disabled for all others

3.	enable the "Require valid medical"setting

Language proficiency

•	Pilots can reserve aircraft for flights before or on the language proficiency expiration date only

•	Language proficiency expiration dates have to be kept current

1.	enter the language proficiency expiration dates for all pilots (see note above regarding empty date fields)

2.	ensure the "Check licence / medical requirements" checkbox is active for all required aircraft types and disabled for all others

3.	enable the "Check language proficiency" setting

EASA-FCL proficiency

•	Pilots can reserve aircraft for flights before or on the EASA-FCL type or class rating expiration date only

•	EASA-FCL type or class proficiency expiration dates have to be kept current

1.	enter the EASA-FCL type or class proficiency expiration dates for all pilots (see note above regarding empty date fields)

2.	enable the "Check EASA-FCL proficiency" setting

Refresher course

•	Pilots can reserve aircraft for flights before or on the type refresher course expiration date only

•	Type refresher course expiration dates have to be kept current

1.	enter the type refresher course expiration dates for all pilots (see note above regarding empty date fields)

2.	enable the "Check refresher course" setting

If you require type ratings, check flights etc. you have to keep the records current, which can lead to much administrative work.

You can allow the pilots to keep their own records current by giving "Edit Own Licences & TR" permission to their user groups. Of course, you consequently have to introduce other means to enforce accuracy of the records (e.g. an obligation to submit a copy of the license to the administration whenever a record is updated)

Please note that there is a difference between the visibility and the ability to reserve an aircraft regarding type ratings (see settings):

- if the "Require type rating" option is disabled, all users can view and reserve all aircraft resp. resources

- if the "Require type rating" option is enabled and the "Only show types to the pilot for which he has a rating" option is disabled, pilots can view all aircraft/resources but can reserve those for which they have a rating only
- if the "Require type rating" setting is enabled and the "Only show types to the pilot for which he has a rating" option is enabled, pilots can view and reserve all aircraft/resources for which they have a rating only
