The waiting list helps your organization to increase the extent of utilization of your aircraft. Please see the regular reservation workflow for a visualization.
How it works
1. | A user enters a new reservation, however there already is a valid reservation with overlapping time |
2. | Subsequently, the new reservation is saved on the waiting list (unless the user decides to skip the reservation) |
3. | If the valid overlapping reservation is moved or cancelled, the system checks if any reservation on the waiting list fits the newly open time slot |
4. | If so, the waiting list reservation is confirmed |
A waiting list reservation can also overlap several valid reservations |
|
There is no limit for the number of reservations on the waiting list |
|
The principle of "First come, first served" is applied. Flightnet chronologically checks the waiting list, starting with the oldest reservation. |
|
If a valid reservation or a waiting list reservation is moved, it is treated as if it was a new reservation (same checks apply) |
How to implement it
1. | Check "Enable waiting list" in "Company / club " > "Settings" [Reservations] |
2. | Make sure the pilots have a proper way configured to get notified if a waiting list reservation is confirmed (by either email or SMS) |
