Feature

View 1/2/.../30 days

This setting allows you to specify the number of days shown. The more days that are visible the more time it takes to display the schedule. Thus, for a fast display you should use a small number of days.

Days Standard / 24h

Usually, the schedule is shown only for the hours of operation as specified in the settings. However, you may also view the full 24h day if you change this setting.

Compact

In normal view, aircraft are grouped by aircraft type. If there is large number of aircraft, you may select compact mode where the grouping is skipped, allowing more aircraft to be visible for a given window height.

Waiting list

If active, the waiting list reservations are visible on an expandable line. If inactive, waiting reservations are not visible and the display is faster due to less data.

Reservations of the current user

A timeline showing the reservations of the current user is always displayed on top.

Waiting list reservations

Reservations on the waiting list are displayed in a separate row. Please note that the system can be configured to apply a special background colour to waiting list reservations.

Open timeline view in a separate window

You can open the timeline view in an separate window by clicking on clip0010 . This separate window is dedicated to the timeline display and therefore offers a better view, particularly for smaller displays.

Display settings

Your settings for the inline (regular) and the separate window display are saved separately (e.g. you can select a 1 day view for inline and a 7 day view for the separate display). The settings are saved permanently when you logout from Flightnet.

Auto-refresh

The timeline view is automatically refreshed every couple of minutes. If you need an instant reload, click on clip0009.

Timeline view prevents automatic logout

Usually, Flightnet automatically logs you out 15 minutes of inactivity. However, if you selected the timeline view in any of your browser windows, your session will remain active until you close the window.

View reservation details

You can see some more reservation information (pilot, instructor, remarks) if you hover with the mouse on the reservation. Apply a left mouse double-click to open the reservation details window.

Add a reservation

Click on the intersection of the favored resource and start time to open a reservation window with the respective data.

Display staff schedule

You can display the schedule of users (e.g. flight instructors) as well. See user resource groups in staff management for details.

Staff availability

If the duty roster is enabled for your organization and specific person, the clip0014 icon will be displayed on the right of the name and the background on the timeline indicates her availability.

Speed considerations

If you have a large fleet with many reservations, the timeline display can get slow due to the amount of data displayed. For best performance

only display few days (1,2 or 3) simultaneously and navigate with the calendar or the arrows to view the schedule for other dates
use compact view
do not display the waiting list
